I just finished number 400 for the year.  With any luck, if I can manage to squeak out another 10 a week for the next 9 weeks, then I can hit the magic 500.

Who's rootin for me?

Honesty, there are weeks where I work 20 hour days every day.  I haven't taken a day off in over 6 months.  The only contact I have with the outside world is through this forum and my clients.  I read the news on my phone when I take a shit.  I don't even have a TV.  Its a hell of a life.

You say that you are working 18 to 20 hours a day X 7 = 140/30=that is equal total of 4.7 "O" work weeks per your week or 60 "O" weeks per quarter...Sounds like you need an "O" job, in one quarter you will have the year completed with lots of overtime.

O jobs are fine for people who are happy not making any money.  I am tired, its midnight again.  I got 11 appointments starting at 11am tomorrow and it is a four hour drive to get there.  So, I will leave home around 6:30 in the morning and get back home around midnight.  Most of them are due Friday by 3pm, and I won't miss any due dates. Then I got to be in Savannah by 12pm on Friday.  Thank gawd gas is cheap.

When am I going to find time to post on the forum?

Merkin, at a total of 2,799 post to this forum at an average of 3 minutes per. amounts to about 3.5 weeks at 40 hours per week, you got plenty of time to meet your production goals.

3 minutes per?  Try like 15 seconds.  Who the hell takes 3 minutes to type a quick response on an internet forum.  Seriously, I time everything I do.  Try it, you will see that 3.5 minutes is a shitload of time.  Hell, I can complete 25% of my 1004 in that amount of time.

Oh, and this makes post 2800.

Your wife must be excited. [biggrin] At least, when counted in seconds, it does sound longer.[biggrin]

Face It Merkin, you are addicted to the forum.  You perhaps may be able to post a reply in 15 seconds but to read and understand a tread surely takes more time.  Be good and don't work too hard, and wish you well, Dan

Truth is, I like many of us, do not have a life beyond this computer screen.  I am the only person I see sometimes for days on end.  This forum is the only connection I have to peers and to other like minded people.  I have learned so much from some of the best arguments on this forum.  This is more educational than all of the CE classes I have had combined.

I enjoy the forum.  I enjoy a spirited disagreement as it forces us to really think about both my point as well as other's points.  This is a great place to keep abreast of all of our industry changes and regulations.  Forgive me for being so active here.  Addicted?  maybe, but reality is that I don't have any one else to discuss ideas with short of picking up the phone and bugging someone who is working on an assignment.

This forum is great in that you can do an assignment and check the forum throughout the day without spending time having a discussion which prevents one from actually working.

I try to be good, but I do work too hard.  I spend way too many hours in front of this computer and in the driver's seat of my car.  I usually go to bed around midnight and am up around 6 and I am away from my family for two solid days a week doing inspections.

This life sucks and this industry sucks.... But being able to have a discussion with others stuck in the same predicament somehow makes it just a bit more tolerable.

Thank you for taking the 49 seconds it took to read this.

Well, I am on number 556 and I was worried that I wouldn't make 600 by the end of the year.  I just got a phone call with an order for 42 drive-bys.... Looks like I might hit the elusive 600 this year.

Really, 42?  I would have told them to shove it!  It's not worth my time to accept anything with less than 50.

Sorry, forgot to give the official count for the year.

624 total reports including 1004D's.  Average fee was $337.89.

Not a bad year.
